I'm using more stomp boxes than I have buttons on the irig, so I want to hook my old MIDI controller into it so I can use the irig to set the programs, then use the other pedal to control up to 9 stomps and 4 expression pedals. I'm using windows 10.
The manual is pretty brief on the topic, but my understanding is that I just connect the external controller MIDI out to the irig MIDI in, and it will pass the commands through to Amplitube.
I did that, but the irig does not appear to be passing the data from the external controller. The MIDI light on Amplitube does not light, but some lights do flash on the irig. The irig functions normally otherwise.
If I run my old controller through a different interface, it works, so I don't think it is a programming issue.
Has anyone tried this?
