how can i get logic and ikeys2 to talk each other?

hi there ,
i can't seem to get the control knobs on the irig keys2 to be functioning in logic pro .. i will pull up a plug in and i can get sound but not parameter controls from the irig keys2 knobs.. i am on a mac laptop with usb-c ...
how can i get logic and ikeys2 to talk each other?
