Noise When Using Tonex One with Power Supply Splitter

Postby elbxxx » Sun Dec 01, 2024 6:49 am

I’m experiencing an issue with my Tonex One pedal, which makes noise (hissing, hum, etc.) when powered via a power supply splitter. My current setup is as follows:

BOSS GT-1 -> Tonex One -> Headphones

When I use a single power supply to power both the BOSS GT-1 and the Tonex One through a daisy chain (splitter), the Tonex One generates noise. However, when I use a dedicated power supply just for the Tonex One, the noise disappears, and it works fine.

Here’s what I’ve already tested:

- I’ve tried different power supplies and different pedals in the chain.
- I’ve also tested with another pedalboard and a different power supply.
- Despite these changes, the noise continues to occur as long as the Tonex One is powered by the shared supply (via the splitter).

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the Tonex One or have any insights on what might be causing this? Could it be related to grounding, power draw, or something else?

Thanks for your help!
