AXE I/O Solo power supply specifications

Postby badma18 » Mon Oct 07, 2024 3:44 pm

Im trying to power up my AXE I/O Solo with external adapter instead of PC USB port. Im going to use the interface to output unprocessed clean guitar signal to monitors. Is it possible, will it work without a computer? What is the output voltage and amperage of the adapter? - 5 volt 1 A did not work for me.

It can also be a feasible solution, but pay attention to the power requirements. The 5V 1A adapter you tried may not be enough to provide stable power to the device, so a higher wattage (5V 2A) and well-regulated power supply would be a better choice.

Hi, Allan, thank you for your reply.
By now I tried various adapters including (5V 2A) and bought specially for this task one more, but it failed. Does it work with your device? Maybe AXE IO Solo has some smart controller that doesn't accept anything but PC USB?
