[Question] Opinions on the iRig 2 HD?

Hi all,

I’ve been looking at the iRig2 HD for a while now, it seems like a budget-friendly option for recording guitar. Has anyone ever used it? Or am I better off mic-ing my Fender Champ 20?

Was hoping for some user opinions, so hopefully some folks chime in. My question is what will you be connecting iRig HD 2 to? Also have you looked at its successor iRig HD X?

vs putting a microphone in front of your amp, you'd get the voicings you can achieve with that amp, but with iRig HD 2 or similar you'd be able to use software to achieve almost any guitar amp/fx/etc tone imaginable.
