Will Stomp i/o connect to iPad from the USB B output ?

Almost every YouTube video I’ve seen on Stomp I/O complains about the weird little 12” iPad connector. After using it for a month I understand this. I continue to have issues (difficulty with the iPad finding the device when connected, device causing the iPad to reboot, having to unplug and replug the pedal) :cry:

I haven’t ever had problems connecting to my MacBook with the provided USB B outlet. This might seem like an over-simple solution but:

Can I simply use a USB B to Thunderbolt adapter to connect the pedal to my iPad?
