I notice that if I feed the headphone out from irig hd 2 into either stereo line in OR two mono line in, the sound changes. Either the stereo field and/or the low end becomes more "boomy".
Is this what is called "sums up to mono"? why even through the stereo line in, the stereo field seems narrower?
I always get the impression that the IRIG has some stuff inside that other interfaces don't, such as a widener or something. Could that be true? Or am I getting wrong impressions?
Just for the record, I am saying that the IRIG HD2 seems to always have the best sound overall.
Thanks.
