Power supply for iRig Stomp

Postby jonesler » Mon Jun 28, 2021 6:52 pm

I have a gig coming up where I need my iRig Stomp but I lost the power supply. IK is backed up and doesn't have any. I found a universal that will do 3v, 5a at 32 watts with the proper connector. Is this safe to use? I know IK would discourage it but it's already out of warranty anyways and I'm stuck. Thanks.

Other users who have used third-party power supplies may chime, but such use is at your own own risk.

The only people who could give you a definitive answer would be IKM Technical Support, and even they may not be happy to do so. Contact them with full details of the power supply unit that you are thinking of using.

I’ve decided against it. There’s a warning on the package that says on some musical equipment the polarity is different so I’ll just do the gig with my MacBook rather than my iPad. Thanks for chiming in.
