DIY MIDI controller for AT5

Postby cpolicari » Sun Jan 24, 2021 4:08 am

I plan to build an Arduino-based footswitch/knob/expression-pedal combo unit to send MIDI messages to Amplitube 5 in order to control the in-software stompboxes and amp settings.

I'm aware that the programmable settings in Amplitube will listen for and learn from MIDI input when you assign them, but do any of you know specifically what kind of messages they're listening for? Is it note-on messages? control change messages? something else entirely?

User Manual, chapter 5
AmpliTube 5 responds to MIDI Control Change and Program Changes messages only. MIDI note numbers, aftertouch, pitch bend and other types of messages are not recognized or supported.

Excellent, I had no idea there was a manual. Thank you for RTFMing for me!

The User Manual is installed on your disk when you install the software.

It is also available in the IKPM (the IK Product Manager) and in your User Area / My Products / AmpliTube / Download Resources
