Connecting live stream to conference call on iPhone

Postby roy@beanbagcafe.co.uk » Wed Apr 15, 2020 9:06 pm

Hi, I am a novice here so would appreciate advice.

I have just started streaming mostly pre-recorded videos to make up a church service each Sunday for people isolated in their own homes during coronavirus lockdown. The stream goes from a desktop computer out through ethernet/router/broadband to YouTube live and that's all good.

However I now want to send just the audio at the same time to an iphone so people without broadband and devices can listen to the service on their landline phone.

The computer has an audio line out socket.

Can anyone advise which is the best interface device to use for this scenario? It seems the iRig2 might be a low cost way but would the signal from line out be sufficient? Or is the iRig stream really needed?

I do not have a mixing desk so its computer to iphone interface I think I need.

Thanks.
