I need to put an extension cable between my iPhone7 and iRig2 interface. I bought a iLine Input Output Extension cable and plugged it into the iRig2 input and put an Apple lightning cable to headphone adapter to plug into my iPhone. When I open the Amplitube app I get loud feedback through my headphones that are plugged into the iRig2. If I remove the extension cable and just plug the Apple lightning cable directly into the iRig2 and iPhone it works fine. I tried using the extension cable with the lightning adapter and my headphones directly connected to the phone and it works fine, but when using it with the iRig2 I get a loud howling feedback. I adjusted the gain up and down with no difference. If I remove the extension cable, everything works fine.
Should I be using a lightning extension cable instead of a line input/output extension cable?
