Hi - I've just realised that I have "AmpliTube 5.dll" and "AmpliTube 5.vst3" files in my chosen VST folder. Do I need both of these? What is the difference?
Thanks

They are two different formats of the same plug-in; "VST2" and "VST3" respectively.
Some DAWs and plug-in hosts support both formats, others support only the VST2 or the VST3 format.
No, you do not need them both. In your DAW's plug-in Browser, You can probably hide one or the other.
The VST3 specification adds new features over and above VST2, but I have not found any definitive statements about which of the new features are supported by various DAWs or plug-ins. I stick with VST2.

Ah - so the .dll is effectively .vst2?
Thanks

Hi, How do you download a vst2 version of Amplitube Max 5. My product manager will only download the vst3 version, which is giving me problems in Studio One.
