HELP DECIDE TONEX PEDAL OR AMP5 MAX OR BOTH

I have amp 5 max and axe i/o however I like the idea of the pedal more so but if I sell the axe i/o and use the tone x pedal will I be able to plug into tone x pedal and access my amp 5 max softaware almost like tone x pedal is an interface for my DAW. I am not trying to add amp 5 max stuff to the tone x pedal I just want to be able to use both in my studio and or leave the studio with my tonex to go somewhere and play ?
