Pausing a Track instead on it Rewinding

I’m using AmpliTube 5CS. No problems recording but I want to just pause the track so I can edit it. Everything I do it jumps back to the beginning. What can I do?

Yes, there is an icon near the top left above the tracks, to the left of the scissors. That is a playhead. You can click that to toggle the behavior you describe.
