Filter out presets I don't own???

Postby Lawrence23 » Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:40 am

It's frustrating going through presets, clicking on them and being told "The current preset uses models that are not yet owned. The missing models will not be loaded, therefore the preset may not sound as intended".

Is there a way to set a filter so that I only see presets in the browser that use models that I already own?

Yes, this is a documented feature of AmpliTube 5 covered in the User Manual. Section 3.8. Gear Selector.

Thanks, but I am not asking about that browser on the right. I'm referring to the Preset browser on the left side of the interface.

The Gear Selector filters out gear and presets.

No, this is not what I am asking. There are a lot of presets in the preset browser on the left that when I select them I get the message stating I don;t own the models used. I want to filter all these out and only show me presets that use only models and gear that I own. The browser on the right shows me gear I own, but has nothing to do with the Presets on in the left browser.

Hi Lawrence23

If you have the filter on the right hand side of the GUI set to filter just the gear you own (Combo with a tick next to it) this should be reflected in the presets browser as well, as in you will only be shown presets that you own ALL the gear for.

If this is not the case, the best thing to do is check the FAQs, via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-su ... ck=QUICKSW

If these do not resolve the issue, there is a link to the Technical Support form at the top of the Search FAQs page, for direct help from Official IK Support. They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the issues, but without directly quoting any correspondence from official support.

Garfy explained exactly what I was talking about. The filter works for both gear and presets. If that's not the case for you please contact IK Support. I feel like we're running in circles here.

OK, this works for Amplitube. Can I do the same thing for Tonex?

Click the filter button and choose Yes or Now under Owned there. This and other functionality of TONEX is detailed in the TONEX User Manual which is installed with the product and also available in your IK Product Manager / User Area. Thank you.
