Just Getting Started: Please Help!! [Resolved]

Postby jah41961 » Tue Sep 04, 2018 12:14 pm

So I am new to Amplitube and I bought the Fender Collection however, it seems that when I click on lets say the Fender Deluxe Reverb model (play it and hear it) and then move on to another model ('59 Bassman) it doesn't immediately activate the Bassman tones and circuitry. Is there something I have to do to deactivate what I was using and do to activate my newer choice? In other words, I'm staring at the Bassman model and I am still hearing the Deluxe Reverb. Thanks in advance.

That behavior seems odd. Is it possible that you have accidentally switched to looking at the "slot" in the signal path for a second amp model (but that that slot is not actually enabled as part of the current signal path). That's the only situation that I can easily imagine would result in the behavior you seem to describe.

Otherwise, this sounds like an issue for support. If you are viewing a gear model that is within an active signal path, and the gear model itself is not "switched off", then you should hear whatever that gear model is doing to the sound.

I guess anything is possible. I am not at home now to look at this however, my initial thought is do you have to "enable" each amp as you access it?

Well, it is possible to "turn off"/bypass any amp (or other piece of gear), though as far as I know everything is "turned on" by default when you load it.

Could you make a screenshot of what you see (with the whole Amplitube interface visible, including the signal path options)? I don't think you can post images in the forum, but if you put it online somewhere, you could link to it. (Alternatively, if you get in touch with Support, they may well ask about a screenshot anyway.)

The issue is resolved. My interface (Focusrite) was not set up. I went through Settings > Audio then adjusted the settings. I never would have known. Thanks to Customer Support. Thanks too for your suggestions.
