AmpliTube and ASIO

Postby ron-e-g » Sun May 27, 2018 9:07 pm

Hello, I can't seem to get Amplitude4 (stand alone)To operate with my ASIO sound driver..Tone Port UX2.

Sorry about the image or lack of. This is probably the only site I ever go to anymore that requires a image hosting site to first upload an image, or am I doing it wrong?

For the image posting, try this syntax ("Quote" this post to see it):

Details are here: https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=432

I do not think that ASIO4All is the usual driver for the Toneport - doesn't it have its own AIso driver that needs to be installed. As the outputs are being routed to the SPDIF outputs.

Can you install the Toneport ASIO driver, if there is one. And post pics of the Input and output channels listed in the drop-down lists?

Thanks for the info on the image DarkStar,
You are correct the Tone Port does have it's own Driver(s) That is my point. They are in this case, current, and installed. This image shown is with that driver in place. When ASIO is selected in "Technology" AS you can see the input device shows only ASIO4ALL and is greyed out. However when I select the output device, the Tone Port is there as an option, but when I select it the interface closes/ crashes.

In more investigation. It seems my Tone Port driver doesn't want to start automatically. I mean on a fresh boot If I click on either The AmpliTube, or Guitar Rig Stand alone in my task bar.. they are not connected to the Tone Port driver! It's only when I click on the POD Farm stand alone, that the driver opens, and goes to the other programs..does that make sense?

Must be a install error somewhere..or windows 10 problem or I just don't know where to go next to fix this problem. I'm leaning towards the Windows 10 problem, as this all only started, after switching to that OS. But then again, I had to re-download everything so...I always use the suggested download path so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Having said that. The AmpliTube interface still wont show the Tone Port as an option in "input Device" :? But it does show the CPU meter with green and signal is getting through. (after opening then closing POD Farm). I just don't know on what driver!

Hmm, someone-else with that hardware may chime in. Meanwhile, the best thing to do is raise a Support Ticket, here:
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/
for some one to one help. And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know how it gets resolved.
