I am having the same problem. Windows 10 and ToneX Pedal firmware version 1.0.9. Can't connect to update the firmware. I have tried all the suggestions above, but I do not have PARSEC. Device Manager shows ASIO devices. Latest drivers. USB is COM7, and not showing any issue (looks like a 9600 baud serial connection...hmmm...is that right?). Device is registered however, I got it from GC and it was previously registered to someone else. IK MM cleared the old user out and I was able to register it on my own account. Downloaded all approved software. Registered all of that.
I'm stuck here is I can't connect to this device. I see I'm not the only one with the issue, but I do not see IK MM posting a clear solution to the problem. I opened a ticket with them. Hopefully I get this resolved.

I have an open support ticket on my Tonex periodically disconnecting from the librarian. Its really irritating when I'm putting my presets together for the set-list and the Tonex disconnects. It started doing it once in a while and now it does it all the time.

I have had the TONEX Pedal since it was released. Since then it has stopped being detected via USB and I had to send it in for replacement twice. The device USB Jack stopped working on two separate devices. IK had to send me two new replacement devices between March 2023 and November 2023.

Oh, wow. That's not good news. I thought it was a software issue. I've got to scramble to put something together because I use my Tonex for gigs every week. I guess its back to a tube amp with Two Notes.

I opened my support ticket on Saturday and haven't heard anything back from them for two and a half days. I hope this isn't a systemic issue and they are buried in support tickets.

I always keep my software and firmware updated. As I mentioned, the connectivity issue got worse with this new update version x.x.5 (I don't remember the first two numbers).
I just now saw that a new Tonex release was given (x.x.6) yesterday, so I will give that one a try.

Updated to x.x.6 version of Tonex software and did a recovery on the Tonex pedal. At first, the software kept saying the Tonex pedal had a bad firmware version. Then I power cycled the Tonex pedal again and it was able to read the Tonex pedal.
I tried moving some presets to the pedal and it seems to work, but I only had a few minutes to check it out. I will update this post after I've spent some time with it.

I had bought a new external usb docking station for my laptop just for extra ports. I tried plugging in there and tonex librarian finally worked. Doesnt work on my laptop ports, but at least I have a solution.

This is interesting. What is the new usb docking station that you bought? I'd like to check out the specs on the ports. Does it work across all of the USB ports on the dock?

The usb dock is a Lenovo Thinkpad USB-C docking station.
Though Ive updated the Tonex software and found the latest patch now works on my laptop usb ports also.

I have the same problem. I tried on mac and pc.
I bought the Tonex from a friend who transferred the serial number to me. I registered everything correctly but when I try to access librarian it asks me to register with ik product manager.

You need the serial numbers for TONEX Pedal and TONEX MAX, both of which are sent to the original user from whom you bought it if they performed the transfer process properly in IK Product Manager.
