The definitive BASS amps collection

Postby yabino974 » Tue Aug 21, 2012 11:57 pm

Hey guys,

Alright, I have to say that these are my most wanted bass amps for AmpliTube. Maybe not yours, but I'm sure we could agree that these ones would make every bass player happy.

Well, I hope so...

Of course, they should come with the appropriate cabs. I'm no expert, but should be easily found either by contacting the brands or doing some research over the web.

What do you guys think ? Did I missed something ?

So here we go, all 17 of them, sorted by alphabetical order :

Yeah, that's a list that would make you rich ;). I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes.

About the guitar amp list ? NONE

I think that the ones available now are enough. The only thing I would ask for guitars is to redo the amps from the AT Metal expansion with the same standards as the Slash gear.

Apart from that, the new ones from the Custom Shop and the Fender Expansion ones sounds good enough.

I'm angry because the guitar players always get all the toys, whereas bass players and lovers got nothing. Well okay there are the Ampeg SVX and some new bass amps in AT3...

But since the Custom Shop, what did we got ? Nothing .

Man - I love that collection. Makes me want to pick up my bass again. It's been sitting in the corner for years! 8-)

Glad you like it :).

Hope they'll pick up some of that list.

So, since august 2012, 2 amps that were in that list made it to the Custom Shop.

They are : Orange AD200B MKIII and SUNN 2000S.

Both sound excellent, so I'm bumping this topic to remind IK that there are 16 left  !

If you dont model them all, I hope you'll at least model Aguilar, Ashdown, Eden and SWR gear...

All hail BASS players  !

Well, actually, unless my eyes are worse than I thought, neither the Orange AD200B MKIII nor the Sunn 2000S are on that list, though the Orange Bass Terror 1000 and the Sunn 300T are. Moreover, while an Orange AD200 model has been added to Amplitube, a model based on the Sunn 2000S (though it would be most welcome!) has not: you may be thinking of the JH 1200, based on the Sunn 1200.

Still, a good list :) though I should note that the correct ;) model of Marshall bass amp to include on a "want" list is the Marshall Super Bass 100w #1992 (plus matching 4x15 #1979 cab with Celestion G15-100-150 speakers)! 8-)

Yes they are not on that list because I removed them.

My bad, I thought it was a SUNN 2000S... Time to check my eyesight.

Thanks for correcting me, and let's hope the next wave of Custom Shop models will include BASS amps !

Ah ha!! Well, that would solve the mystery! :D
But, then, put back the Sunn 2000S! 8-) We still need that one.

I WANT THEM ALL!!! :o

Ampiltube has a bunch of G&K amps pictured in Custom Shop. Are you teasing us bass players or are you coming out with Amplitube GK already? Throw us bassists a bone here!

I'd really love to have the Hartke HA3500 in AT3 with a couple of aluminium cabs (10" and 15"?), and maybe a couple of VX/transporters for good measure...

LED eq aside that dual solid state/valve preamp is a very flexible tool. Sadly I had my HA2000 based combo stolen, but the HA3500 was always the one to get if you could afford it.

We're definitely coming up short on the Bass side now. I'll second the need for a few more classic GK models to counter balance the glut of overdriven Orange/Ampeg that we've got. Maybe even the SansAmp range (DI, RBI etc). It would also be nice to see Ashdown represented too as the spiritual successor to the Green amps.

I revive this topic to ask if there are plans from IK multimedia to expand their bass collections.
Some times ago there was the "Bass Players Bundle" with some models now available in other collections.
It would be great to have some additional bass rigs from the above list, other than the existing Fender, Ampeg 1 and 2, etc., in a special bundle for bass players.
I guess it will sell a lot. I would definitely buy it.
Cheers!
