Amplitube 6...?

With the recent promotion offering Amplitube 5 max for $99, and that offer then being extended way beyond the original 30/9 deadline, I wondered why IK was making such an amazing deal available? More cynically, I wondered whether it was to sell as many v5 as possible before a v6 comes out...? Or are IK in a poor financial state?
Just idly wondering, gossip, hearsay, and other theories replies welcome (if the mods allow it!).

Overall, IK Multimedia is pretty great in my book. I don't care how or why they do what they do, but how it makes me sound and how much value it provides to me.

Gossip and hearsay are for people who believe life is long.

We're doing fine. We have deep discounted promotions frequently (and note that this is not unique to IK). There really isn't anything all that deep to it - except the deep discounts!
