Hello!
I use a midi controller + expression pedal to control the volume in the Tonex.
The only possibility to control volume is tone model volume (CC#103), which becomes a problem because the models have different volumes inherently.
Eg volume 5.4 does not correspond to the same db as another model.
Saving each model's volume does nothing because midi overrides it.
I therefore lack the possibility to control the "master" or "rig" volume via midi.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Let me know if you find an effective workaround. I have Behringer FCB1010 midi controller. It would seem to be a shame to have to put a regular volume pedal between the guitar and the tonex when you already have two pedals on the controller board. But you are correct mucking with the tone model volume (or the gain for that matter) is messy at best. One POSSIBLE workaround would be to set all the patches with gain on 10 and then balance them by adjusting the tone model volume. then you could put the expression pedal on the gain. I don't think "gain" on the tonex increases the raunch of the tone model. It's more of a volume control than a pre-amp gain control to my ears. What do you think of that idea? Maybe Jason Sadites would be able to help.... I will post again if the gain thing seems to work

Hi - I figured it out. You don't have to put the gain settings to 10. At least with my xpression pedal on the FCB1010 you can set an upper and lower limit. You just have to do some math because the top level (usually 10) = 127 on the upper limit control of the pedal. You could apply the same logic to the model volume or the gain... But you have to do the settings for every single patch that you want to do this on. This is in the FCB1010. I don't know if ALL expression pedals work that way I've only ever owned this one. That said I am quite happy to have figured this out.
