Midi Learn Doesn't work in Cubase (Amplitube 5, Cubase 11)

I'm trying to control the Wah pedal with my midi controller.
I have AT5. In stand alone it works well - I right click the pedal, do "Assign MIDI", touch my controller, and it works.
In Cubase 11 it doesn't work. I set up an audio track with AT5, then I set up a midi track with my controller as the input, and the AT5 audio track as the output. When I touch my midi controller I see that the midi indicator in AT is getting midi signal. Then I right click the pedal, do "Assign MIDI", touch my controller, and - nothing . I still see the "Waiting for MIDI Input" message.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem.
While in Cubase 13 the midi controller has no issues and in the stand-alone Amplitube 5 it also has no issues, when I use Amplitube 5 within Cubase 13, the midi controller does not work correctly, not allowing the shutdown of a certain pedal for example.
Were you able to solve it? If so, how were you able to do it?
I have a Windows 11, with 24 GB of RAM and a Ryzen 5 3400G, as well as a Focusrite 2i4 2nd gen with all its drivers updated.
