When I connect the Tonex pedal to my Windows (10) PC via USB, it freezes at irregular intervals and emits a high hissing sound. The pedal then no longer works and must be unplugged and restarted. The latest ASIO driver and firmware are installed. This only happens when connected via USB, in standalone mode this does not occur. Does anyone else have this problem and perhaps know how to fix it?

So I have the same problem and I found your post after a search. I have a Mac Mini and if the Pedal is plugged in when I power up the pedal 8 out of 10 times it does what you described. @Tonex a little help here.

Since no other users have chimed in, it would be best to reach out to IK Support for direct and official technical support via
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/hwTo me this sounds like it might be USB bus noise which is something that can occur when connecting any audio equipment to your computer via USB but the team may have some suggestions on how to avoid this or whatever is the root cause. Thank you.

I reached out to IK and received a prompt response - one of which was to try a different USB port. I had the unit connected to a USB C hub to my computer which the Tonex Pedal doesn't like. Plugging it directly into the MAC seems to have solved the problem.
