I had the same sort of difficulty updating AmpliTube from 5.7.5 to 5.10.2.
In IK Product Manager, I had selected "Update" for AmpliTube which started the download process. When that reached 100% it specified "Launching setup...". But it did not launch the setup. It just sat idle. I tried restarting PM to no avail. I then went to the folder where Product Manager had placed the installation file (The folder is specified in settings=>Downloads).
In my case:
E:\IK\AmpliTube 5>dir
AmpliTube_5_10_2.zip
AmpliTube_5_7_5.zip
I attempted to view the zip file for 5.10.2 but could not. Nor could I extract the files. In comparison, the old 5.7.5 zip file could indeed be viewed or extracted. So it seems like 5.10.2 may have been corrupted during download.
I then deleted the 5.10.2 zip file, restarted Product Manager, restarted the update process for AmpliTube 5 which commenced the re-download of 5.10.2.
At 100% download, the "launching setup..." did not hang this time and was able to commence and ultimately complete the installation.
