Big difference in audio quality between standalone and DAW

Postby emvaline » Tue Jan 17, 2023 5:53 am

As the title says there is quite a serious difference in quality between standalone and plugin versions. I've tried changing sample rates, buffer size, drivers but nothing makes a difference. DAW is Ableton 10. Help appreciated

What do you mean? Have you tried to record a wave file in AT5 recorder and export it and compare it to what it sounds like in the DAW exported? They should be the same

When you put a plugin into a DAW it's like putting an effects unit into a mixer.

AmpliTube 5 has its own way of managing input gain as does Ableton.

Check out this article:

Maybe watch what the audio channel in Ableton is sending into the plugin? That will influence the sound.

I have had the same issues here. You can try to set the pan law at 0dB and follow the tip in the link below (last post). Worked out great for me in Cubase.
