I feel dumb asking this, but I'm having trouble just getting a simple clean amp tone without any kind of distortion. Even the amps in the "clean" section all seem to give my guitar tone a little distortion. What am I missing here?

Make sure that you audio interface guitar input is not clipping before it reaches amplitube. There are several videos on youtube that indicate the gain on the interface should be set to 0, but I think this might not be for all amps.
