NEED HELP! Massive sound problems

Hello there, we have just installed A 5 to our Windows PC last week and we have massive sound problems. We use the Scarlett Focusrite Solo as Interface. The sound is "far away", sounds really not good and muddy, ugly distorted although we use good instruments. Do you have an idea, how we can solve this problem? Do you think that a DI Box will improve the sound?
