21:9 monitor unusable [Resolved]

Postby shandyman » Sun Mar 12, 2023 10:17 am

I've just replaced a 1080p monitor with a 21:9 monitor 3440*1440px and AmpliTube 5 is unusable (win 11)

The app window is a completely different size to the displayed controls with loads of black background between the rendered controls and the edge of the app window. Clicking on a control does nothing as it thinks the control is somewhere else on the screen in the plain black background to where it is rendered. If I resize or maximize the screen, everything changes size but it keeps the black background around the amp.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it makes no difference. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Andy

Other users may chip in with suggestions.

Meanwhile, as this is not a company Support forum, the best thing to do is contact Technical Support via the IKM web site, for some one to one diagnosis and help. Search the FAQs first, as there may be relevant results. After that, you should see a [Contact Support] button at the bottom of the page, linking you to the Support form.

Thanks for pointing me to the right place.
The issue was my laptop used the default of 150% scaling.
Even though I was using a separate monitor which used 100% scaling, with the laptop closed, the laptop screen scaling adversely affected it.

Simply making my monitor the left hand display was the answer!
