amplitube crashes reaper

I am kinda new to amp sims and recording and had been using amplitube just fine but when i upgraded amplitube it will not load into reaper. It simply will crash reaper. No notifications or anything. Amplitube stand alone will work fine however. Any suggestions?

I seem to recall this issue arising some time ago, and the problem arose when the AT default preset had been modified. I'd encountered the issue you describe, and when I reverted the default back to its stock version, the problem stopped. The simplest thing to do to try this is to 1) backup your existing presets folder (I don't recall whether they get blown away by re-install), and then 2) open the IK product manager and re-install AT (if you mouse over the button that says installed, it should turn to reinstall). Hope this helps.

Now if someone could figure out all the other things that make AT crash Reaper!
