I am using Amplitube 5.4.1 (22F15) with nothing in the Amplitube signal chain but an amp and its cabinet. I start with a clean amp and everything sounds great. When I switch to certain hi gain amps, I get a lot of static and popping. It's not the kind of noise you sometimes have to eliminate thru the use of a noise gate. The noise gate has no effect. Switching back to the original clean amp does not eliminate the noise. It seems to get dragged along from the hi gain amp. I own all the equipment in the signal chain. Everything is authorized. Help!
