Amplitube 4+Focusrite 6i6 on PC

Postby maaqihs » Thu Oct 08, 2020 9:35 am

Hi guys. I just downloaded the demo of Amplitube 4. Unfortunately most presets etc are locked and I can not test them, but that is not the issue.

My interface works fine directly To my monitors and with Cubase. I have not tried whether Amplitube would work as VST there. Likely yes and I Will do that next. The issue is that Amplitube does not see Focusrite as Asio. It does work as Windows or directsound but at 1000+ buffer with horrible latency. Very nice sound though.

Everything is updated and other similar standalones work fine with the focusrite. Amplitube just says that it can not see the focusrite as Asio even through I am playing right through it

Any ideas!?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Although it is always recommended to use the AI manufacturer's own drivers, some users have had better luck using ASIO4ALL on Windows machines using the Scarlett range. Maybe that would help.

Also, I would suggest that you change your username away from your email address. It is very easy for webbots to harvest addresses and you may find yourself inundated with offers of everything from credit cards to holidays.

Hi

Yeah, I did not realize the username transfers over here. But ofc it does. Thanks

The whole problem I had was The the standalone not seeing my interface through asio like it does with every other software I use... Other two options have horrible latency like I said...

I installed just like the program suggested. Does it have some other drivers suggested? Also why does it not work as VST on cubase le 9.5??

Hey maaqihs

Is this with the Focusrite driver or ASIO4ALL, which is a third-party driver?

Do you mean it doesn't appear in the list of insert effects in Cubase, or that there is a problem after you open it?

What you said in your first post was:

maaqihs wrote:The issue is that Amplitube does not see Focusrite as Asio.

What I'm asking you is whether you have installed the Focusrite ASIO driver and AT4 is not seeing it or whether you have installed a third-party ASIO driver. I'm trying to ascertain exactly what AT4 is not seeing.

Just to re-iterate what is in the Rules of the Forum, this is a user-to-user forum and not direct to Official Technical support. I think perhaps you should work through the FAQs to resolve your issue, which can be found here: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-su ... ck=QUICKSW

If these do not resolve the issue, there is a link to the Technical Support form, for direct help from Official IK Support. They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

My focusrite works as asio with I guess Focusrite driver with all other standalones and Cubase except with amplitube. It is not visible To it

Here's a thread with a similar situation. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=25296"

The fix was to download the ASIO4ALL driver as the issue was with the Focusrite one.

Hope that helps.
