Which stand to use with iLoud Precision MTM?

Postby Avlund » Wed Apr 16, 2025 11:43 pm

Hi, I just bought a pair of iLoud Precision MTM at the recent campaign.

I need to raise them a bit though, about 10-20 cms probably.

Which stands would be good?

I see that this guy (https://youtu.be/UICrV6Q7Txs?si=xM4XWZG4DpoZILBG) is using IsoAcoustics stands and they seem to work, but I can't see which model he's using.

It's likely the ISO-200 stands that would be the best fit: https://isoacoustics.com/pro-audio-isol ... on-stands/

I would get them off the table.

I am planning to use K&M 26140 heavy duty mic stand for my MTM Mk II surround speakers.

Yeah, but I'm not sure that the wall is able to support their weight, and there's no room for a mic stand.

What would you use to mount the monitors to the K&M?

A mic stand, like the one I listed, with a round base takes up very little space. I would be surprised if it doesn't fit unless the desk is right up against the wall.

The mic stand has 5/8 thread on the top. The speaker has 3/8 thread on the bottom. K&M makes a 5/8 to 3/8 adaptor that works perfectly. Doesn't cost much either. If you select a solid stand, like that K&M stand, think it will be a great setup. You can then also adjust them to perfect height.

I am presently using much less stable stands than those, but it still works great. Will be moving to the sturdier stands soon though.
