Question about calibration of the MTM's. Since the MTM speakers are sold individually, does this mean that the calibration needs to be done for each speaker?

You do need to calibrate each speaker as they are not connected to each other so each has its own DSP, etc. It is recommended that you use the same microphone to do each calibration.
