Bluetooth for iLoud

These speakers have great reviews, but is it the case that with Bluetooth they are a bit disappointing?

Do you have to have a cable (very heavy??) to connect the two speakers? Or can that happen via Bluetooth?

I am thinking of getting iLoud MMS to put on bookshelves at about ear height and about 2.5m apart from each other. Does this make sense? I would only use Bluetooth (from phone or tablet), and I was assuming that you can make the whole setup wireless...

You can connect to the iLoud Micro Monitors via Bluetooth but you'll still need to have them connected to power and connected to each other with the cable.
