I currently use AMP 5 with Stomp IO, laptop and a couple nearfield powered monitors. Its a great setup for basement playing and the Mackie nearfield monitors sound great if you are within 10ft of them. Any further away and the sound soon becomes faded.
They also don't have much of a broadcast field, they have to be pointing right at you or you don't hear it well.
I am looking for a PA system or stage monitors that wouid give enough depth of sound to play live in a small venue. Like in a Pub. I don't want to blow my brains out buying one so looking to only speand $1000.
Any suggestions?
And with a PA, do I need a mixer with this set up too?
