Velocity issues (maybe)!!! [SOLVED]

Postby misnelstain5 » Tue Oct 13, 2020 2:53 pm

Hi everyone!
So I came across to this weird thing where my velocity is changing too much. I know there is a ''humanization" thing but not every kit doing this.
Here's 2 audio examples:

1. Factory preset, highly noticeable sound change: https://dbree.org/v/d8e854

2. My own preset, no noticeable velocity change: https://dbree.org/v/1b682b

Both written with the same velocity. I'd like to create a new preset based on a factory one, but I just can't use it the way I want to because those velocity changes totally messing it up.

Thanks for any help in advance.

It sounds like something in your preset might be changing the way your kit reacts to the same MIDI notes.

Check your Mapping page, there are velocity curve controls for each individual instruments. Also check your PLAY POSITION control for any differences in these presets.

Outside of that, check for changes in your global Velocity control in the lower left hand corner of the plug-in as well as the CUSTOMIZE page for EDIT ELEMENT.
