Made a cover of The Cures - Lullaby

Postby Dewil1 » Mon Oct 14, 2024 3:23 am

This whole thing took around 6 hours to finish.
I heard the song and thought that it's a fairly simple one to get done fast.

For the guitars and bass I used amplitube and some actual pedals.

Bright colors and playful graphics Make Fruit a joy to play, whether you're matching fruits on the go or preparing for a longer session.

Hey Dewil,

I haven't heard the original, but I like what you are doing, particularly with the vocals, nice expression and feel. The production is also nice and bright.

Nice work.

Cheers, CS. :)

Hey Dewil1

I agree with CS, wonderful job and super cover. Crazy how excellent it turned out with only limited time applied – you were in the zone, for sure! 8-)

Thanks for posting!

Thank you.

I did surprise myself.
Rarely do I get in the zone like that but I did decide that I am going to finish this one today. Otherwise I would not probably got it done at all =D

I have a few other covers that I've been thinking about doing that would differ a lot from the original. Just got to find the right time to do it.

Man O Man, did you just raise the standard!

"Schit" Dewil, that is awesome man, I really liked seeing your working space and the tools of your trade. (heaven help me if I get to expose mine ).

That is a really cool addition to the music track and one which I personally really enjoyed. It's probably fair to say that we all have a curiosity of what each others recording environment is like and what gear we each use??

Very cool man, looking forward to the the next installment.

Cheers, CS. :)

Thanks.

I have nothing crazy expensive and the stuff I use in my DAW (studio one) is also pretty cheap and some of the plugins I mainly use are free ones =D

I will get to the tracks soon and share that next. The track count ain't huge.

I have watched a lot of studio videos myself and all that gear is cool and everything. I remember when Kemper came out and it was a huge deal and I wanted one. We have come a long way till then, now you can just get tonex and have all that on your hands with sooooo much less money.

I'll post the next part here also.

Have fun,
Dewil

Hi Dewil,

Wow, nice job on the track. Building your guitar pedals +1 in cool level in my book.

Looking forward to more.

Thank you.

Yep, still building pedals I think I started 10 years ago or something.
Still doing them and videos about the builds on my channel.
I also stream the builds sometime. It's a nice hobby and I do use them with amplitube and I like combining the analog stuff I have to the digital. Now I just usually mod every pedal I do slightly to get a lil bit more out of them if I box one up.

I also have done tone models of some of them. You can get them trough Tonenet.

Next one I have to make is the TS-9 I modded. The last build was this little voltage sag.
