Having been an old time user of synthsizers, drum machines and sequencers, I have decided to delve into the modern day technology. I have a Korg Triton and a Korg Kronos. Here is what I want to do. I am playing in a band and I want to use an ipad to see my music but also as a controller to change sounds when I call up the song. I understand that I need a Midi Modulator or a Midi interface to connect the ipad to the keyboards. I have seen ones that are 1 in 4 out- 2in to 8 out. What I would like to know is what interface or modulator I need to connect the ipad to the two keyboards and be able to have the ipad control the sound changes for each song on both keyboards?
For example do I just need 1 in and 1 out? So from the interface that the ipad is plugged into we run a midi out to the first keyboard, midi in and then midi out from that keyboard to the midi in on the second keyboard? Is that correct.
Please help. I know this may be simple for you all but I'm 54 and technically challenged.
