This is what I want to do:
Make a box with a regular DIN MIDI in connector, a power connector and a stereo line out.
Inside the box is an iPhone with some stuff to power it, to feed MIDI and to get audio out of it. By doing so, I want to be able to use an iPhone as a synth.
The question is, can I use the Lightning to Mini-DIN cable (with some adapters/soldering) as a MIDI IN to my iPhone?
Any advise is very much appreciated.
