Newbie- Connect Electric Guitar to Iphone?

Hi,

I'm a newbie with an IPhone XR. Is there any way to connect my electric guitar to the IPhone's GarageBand - there appear to be no inputs on this phone.

Perhaps I need an IPad or an Apple computer, not an IPhone?
