Hi fellow AmpliTubers, I’m looking for advice here... I’m really struggling to get the best Blues tones and wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I’ve recently bought a Strat with HSS configuration and am trying to get a nice overdriven, low distortion, growly tone. I’m struggling with tone settings- getting too much tinny top end, metallic shrillness. I know there’s a lot of parameters that could affect this: pickups, strings, tone settings (set mid way on the Strat) etc but any suggestions on set up would be appreciated. Here’s what I’m currently using:
As you can see, I haven’t invested much in this setup. If anyone has developed a killer blues tone for their Strat, I’d really like to know how it’s created.
