Posting this for anyone who has the same question and stumbles upon this thread. Hopefully in the future they add the feature that allows for the adjusting of the individual volume levels of the drum kit mixes, but in the mean time, here’s a workaround. Note that this only works if you have available parts in the live mode as it uses layers. There’s only 8 drum pads on the iRig Keys I/O keyboards so that matches up to the 8 parts/layers in live mode.
1. Add the drum kit of your choice to all 8 parts in live mode, set them all to the same midi channel too (make sure this is the same channel as what you have assigned the PAD on your iRig Keys). Tip, if you’d like to pull different sounds from different kits, you can do that as well by adding the different kits instead of all the same one - we’ll just assume it’s all in the same kit.
2. In the layers view, reduce the first part to just the kick drum note only - usually on C1. Then for the 2nd part, reduce it to the snare (or whatever sound you want). Do this for all 8 parts. When your done, each part really should only play one note and be silent on all other notes.
3. In the mixer view, adjust the volume for each sound as you like. Essentially, you should have one part in live mode mapped to a single note, which in turn maps to a single drum pad on your iRig Keys.
...and that’s it. You can also change each of the macros settings for each sound/part, and also set the reverb as you wish as well. Save this live mode setting and you can always access it.
Hope this helps someone.
