Trying to get a clean tone

Hello,

I’m running an iPad with an iRig2 into a set of earphones. No matter which amp I choose and no matter how it’s set, I can never get a clean tone...even when I pick the Clean Preset. It’s as if there’s always a gain pedal active in the background even if I don’t have one visibly engaged. Any idea what’s going on here?

While this does sound like it may be a question for support, as this is a user-to-user discussion forum.

Check to see if your 'FX' button in AmpliTube is disabled in the Mixer/DAW pages. Use the Tape Recorder/Cassette symbol to access these pages and make sure the currently recorder armed ('R') track is set with 'FX' illuminated. This will enable/disable the Amp and Stomp FX emulations.
