iRig MIDI 2 power usage

I want to use a USB keyboard and an iPad, running SampleTank, but I’m concerned that the keyboard will drain the power from the iPad. Would I be better off using iRig MIDI 2 and standard MIDI, or would SampleTank and the iRig drain power at the same rate?
This is for live use.

iRig MIDI 2 would not drain very much power at all and your keyboard should drain none as it would be connected to iRig MIDI 2 via standard 5-pin MIDI connections which do not transmit power just MIDI data.
