iRig2 and iOS 16 or higher

Postby RoyNicholson » Wed Nov 27, 2024 5:27 pm

Has anyone got an iRig2 connected to an iPhone which is running ios16 or higher to work? My iRig2 worked fine until I upgraded to iOS16. It’s not worked on ios16, ios17 and now ios18. I’m getting no output and when plugging in to the iPhone the Siri symbol appears after a few seconds and then goes. This never used to happen on earlier versions of iOS. Using the AmpliTube settings I can see that it has input set to headphone jack initially which then changes to unsupported and then back to headphone jack but still no output. Is my iRig2 bust or is iOS the problem?

Have you checked microphone permissions?

Check to ensure Microphone Permissions are engaged:

- iOS apps (and macOS apps) will require microphone permissions to access external audio devices, like iRig 2.
- Open the iOS Settings app and scroll to the bottom to find your app.
- Tap the app icon to show all included permissions.
- Make sure Microphone is engaged.

Thank you for your response. In answer yes I have checked that AmpliTube has permission to use the microphone.
