ioS ipad app vs desktop - sound quality

Hi

I've just bought iRig H2 and amplitube - I use it on my ipad and so far all sounds good. I've forked out for a bundle which includes all amps effects etc.

I use an iPad Air 2 and the performance is good. Do you think there is any significant difference in sound quality between the ipad version and say a desktop version with a dedicated USB interface?
