SampleTank Not Detecting Installed Sound Libraries

Postby pigacab » Sun Mar 30, 2025 8:58 pm

Hello

I recently installed additional sound libraries for SampleTank, but when I launch the software, the new sounds don’t appear in the browser. I followed the installation instructions and made sure the files are in the correct directory, but SampleTank still doesn’t recognize them. I also tried refreshing the sound database within the settings, but that didn’t resolve the issue. :?:

Could this be a problem with file permissions, a missing database update, or a compatibility issue with the version of SampleTank I’m using? I checked that the library paths are correctly set in the preferences, but the new instruments remain inaccessible. If anyone has encountered this before, what troubleshooting steps worked for you? :|

I’d appreciate any guidance on how to force SampleTank to detect the installed Generative AI libraries properly. Are there specific folder structures or naming conventions that need to be followed? Also, does manually editing the database files help in cases like this? :?:

Thank you !!

Which additional sounds libraries did you get?

Do you mean that the libraries were created by "Generative AI". If so, there is a good chance that they were not created completely / correctly.
