Seeking Guidance on AmpliTube 5 Setup Optimisation

Hello Everyone,

Since I'm relatively new to the IK Multimedia environment, I've been utilising AmpliTube 5 for both live performances and studio work. Even while I adore the sound quality and adaptability it provides, I'm having trouble getting my setup to work as best it can for live performances.

This is how I have it right now:

    Fender Stratocaster guitar
    Connectivity: iRig HD 2
    AmpliTube 5 (Max) software
MacBook Pro (2021, M1 chip) laptop
DAW: Logic Pro X, if required

I perform with a range of presets and effects, mostly rock and blues music. But, I've observed some latency problems and sporadic dropouts while combining many effects in real-time or moving between patches. I'm concerned that this could degrade the quality of my live performance.

I would like to know:

Latency and Performance: What is the best approach to reduce AmpliTube 5 latency, particularly while performing live? Are there any particular settings or adjustments on my MacBook or software that I should pay attention to?

Hardware Recommendations: Do you believe that switching to a better audio interface—like the iRig Stomp I/O or AXE I/O—will significantly lower latency and enhance overall performance?

Best Practices for Live Setup: How do you use AmpliTube to organise your setup for live performances? For more seamless transitions, do you use additional gear (such as pedals or MIDI controllers) or do you only use your laptop?

Any pointers, recommendations, or firsthand knowledge would be much valued. I want to wait till my setup is as dependable as possible before I begin doing regular alteryx performances.

Thank you in advance.
