moving Sampletank from PC to Mac, what about sounds

Postby derschulz0 » Wed Feb 17, 2021 11:42 pm

Hello all you knowing people,
I just moved Sampletank 4 from Win10 to Mac, it still is alive on the Win system with all the sounds. Is there a chance to move the sound libraries with somehow copy & paste?
The download link is offcoarse expired .... Is the IK Content Manager and €12.- the only way to get this done?

I think that you should be able to copy the installed library across, via an external disk or USB stick. It's worth a try, anyway.

Make sure that you move everything in the library and set the appropriate Disk File Path in ST4.

I've used an external hard drive for the sounds across both Mac and PC in the past. It just had to be formatted in a way that it would be recognized by each OS. But you can also copy the libraries to an internal hard drive and map SampleTank 4 to them as well.
