Is SampleTank 4 Sound Content compatible with ST3?

Hi, so I just found out that I have a free download available at my user area for SampleTank 4 but I'd like to know if I can use it with SampleTank 3. I do not own ST4 only ST3.

Anyway, I hope you guys can help me out with it.

No it is not. SampleTank 3 is an older product so it will not support sounds built for the newly built SampleTank 4 engine. However, you can use SampleTank 4 CS which is free: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st4cs/

Peter is correct.

But I read your question the other way round, as: "Can I use the ST3 instruments in ST4?". To which the answer is "yes". All you need to do is add the path to the ST3 Sounds Library to the list in ST4's Settings / Sound Content.
